Wireplumber killed by SIGABRT

Hello fedora discussion!

I have unexpectedly have had to deal with a new error (probably because im did something stupid agian). Wireplumber seems to be killed by SIGABRT. I checked the error logs on the bug reporting app on fedora. But dident get much more information other than it saying that Wireplumber was killed by SIGABRT. I have never had any issues with wireplumber ever until today (which I assume is just a bug in the kernel).

I am running Fedora Workstation 44 (x86-64) and I have no idea how this couldve happened.

I did not have any errors on the previous kernel version but my current version is this:

Linux 7.0.12-201.fc44.x86_64

I am running an ASUS TUF Gaming A16 laptop and have been running fedora ever since I bought this laptop and have been loving fedora along with this amazing community!

I would like to inform you all that I did restore an old usb drive from corruption today.
I would also like to inform you all that I have never messed with any wireplumber configs or such either so seeing this error is weird considering it hasent given me a problem until today.

Any help or knowledge is greatly appreciated.

I LOVE FEDORA!

Thanks agian! Jyomama28.

Where are you seeing this reported?

This could be caused by a failure in another component, so we need more details. When reporting problems it is helpful if you can provide enough details to allow others with similar hardware and software to reproduce the issue.

First off, thank you all for the help and advice.

I did get the bug figured out as it got patched within the next kernel update.

Today I updated my system and BAM, the bug is gone.

Thanks agian for all the help!

Sadly, the bug came back somehow :frowning:

Here are some logs to assist with this:

So wireplumber says that its running. When I try to restart wireplumber it does not seem to do anything.

I have a wired headset, keyboard, and mouse. When I use my computer for a while my headset, keyboard, and mouse all seem to turn off all at once and stop working. Lucky for me but my keyboard on my laptop itself does not turn off. I even tried to swap out wireplumber for pipewire and that still did not work. Everything works fine on boot which is weird to see it all disconnect at once after some time.

Im sorry I dont know a whole lot about posting wireplumber logs.

Thanks for the help guys! I truly love this community!

FEDORA FOREVER!

Clearly there is no SIGABRT going on so a new issue.
