Wine in distrobox does not handle multithreading well (painful little problem)

Hi,

Perhaps I should ask this on another forum, but it seems to be related to F40.

I have this audio problem. But I managed to isolate my strange distrobox wine Ableton setup to its problem. And that is if I turn off all cores but one on my CPU, i solve crackling and chopping while recording. I didn’t have that problem in F39.

So I guess why I post this is to help the community a bit, to find new strange bugs in F40. But I have no idea if it is in the right place here.

Either way. Is there someone that has a grasp what it might mean? And obviously I will post any logs needed.

So, I knew this was a strange/tricky question to answer. As it its pretty special setup.

But the the trick that did it for me was to use F40 in distrobox and remove realtime replaced by pipewire. It seems that F40 have made realtime obsolete.

Thats the answer for now. Wineasio im telling you…
