Will Fedora KDE work well and be stable on this ThinkPad?

I’m planning on getting a ThinkPad for game development, art, and video editing. I found one on Amazon with this model.

Programs I plan on running: Brave Browser, Discord, Godot (game dev), Blender (3D), Krita (art), Kdenlive (video editing), VSCodium (programming/web dev)

Also, do the NVIDIA drivers support the Quadro T500?

Yes, that’s a Turing card (like the desktop 1600 and 2000 series), so the latest Nvidia drivers support it. Performance-wise it looks fairly modest, and 4GB GDDR is quite constrained these days.

16GB of system RAM may also be quite tight for your use case. Looking just at Blender, you’re ahead of the minimum requirement, but short of the recommended level (32 GB system RAM and 8GB video RAM).

Okay, thanks for letting me know. Just another question though, how stable and out-of-the-box is Fedora KDE compared to Linux Mint (the OS I’m currently using)?

I always buy ThinkPads with the Intel graphics to avoid NVIDIA issues. Fedora runs like a champ on my X1 Carbon.

I have had good success with Lenovo Thinkpads over the years. They work well with Linux. But I always also get the intel graphics and stay away from nvidia.
