@vgaetera’s suggestion will attempt to identify the wifi hardware.

Another approach is to find the specifications for your PC using the “Find Computer” tab at Linux Hardware.

got really really long answer, it will take years to write them here. Im on my cellphone writting here, my pc dont have a long cable to connect.

We only need details of the wifi hardware, so you only have to copy a few lines. There should be either a wifi entry similar to this (from lspci):

00:14.3 Network controller [0280]: Intel Corporation Cannon Lake PCH CNVi WiFi [8086:a370] (rev 10)
        DeviceName: Onboard - Ethernet
        Subsystem: Intel Corporation Device [8086:4030]
        Kernel driver in use: iwlwifi
        Kernel modules: iwlwifi

or one similar entry (fromlsusb), and the uname line, which will be similar to:

Linux <hostname) 6.1.13-200.fc37.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Wed Feb 22 17:53:57 UTC 2023 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

Linux Hardware has 6 hits for id=‘14c3-0616’ (6). The majority of reports say it works for linux, including Fedora 37. Next step is to run “journalctl -b” and search for the problem by entering /NetworkManager. Here is a typical example of successful wifi link setup:

There may also be entries for failures to load the mt7921e module
Try to find the frst line where an error for the module or NetworkManager occurs.

NetworkManager is using a wired interface. I assume that will make it easier for you to post command output.

Is the mt7921e wifi driver is being loaded? Check using:

lsmod | grep mt791e

Use dmesg to check for problems loading the wifi driver (my system uses iwlwifi, but mt7921e should load and setup wl01:

 % lsmod | grep iwlwifi
iwlwifi 413696 1 iwlmvm

nothing happend

I did i found mt7921e

lsmod

mt7921e 28672 0

Not sure what you did that resulted in “nothing”.

The 0 is the number of modules using mt7921e. I hope the dmesg output will tell use why.

Progress of a sort. Here is one suggested “fix”: mt7921e hardware init failed and openwrt issue 548 (for same ASIC revision).

Reliable wifi adapters are relatively cheap, so you may want to replace yours if the fix fails.

thank you so much it works
