Why Fedora Does Not Have Rust Preinstalled?

I understand it is straightforward to install Rust on Fedora but has Fedora considered having Rust preinstalled in the future?

I think it’s good to keep the default system as small and lean as possible and not preinstall packages that only a small percentage of Fedora users require in their workflow, especially since it is so easy to install rust (and any other package from the repo).

Please note that other compilers are also not preinstalled. If you need them, run one dnf command and seconds later you are ready to go.

@yifan : you are more than welcome to work with the Rust SIG to create a lab image for Rust development if you think a pre-installed Fedora based image with Rust tools would be useful to users.
