When will be the updates available for Silverblue 39?

I’m in F39 Silverblue and I can’t update to the latest stable kernel and the other packages because the “updates” ref isn’t available in ostree yet. Like the last time Silverblue is freezed, this happened the last upgrade from 37 to 38 too. Please think on us too when you release the system, not only in workstation. Thanks

kernel

current stable kernel for F39 in bodhi, pushed to stable 4 days ago, is kernel-6.5.9-300.fc39
https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2023-cfd46a8051

current max kernel available for users

❯ uname -rsov
Linux 6.5.6-300.fc39.x86_64 #1 SMP PREEMPT_DYNAMIC Fri Oct 6 19:57:21 UTC 2023 GNU/Linux

there’s something weird because refresh-md does the job… and I manually checked the repo it accessed and it has the latest kernel

http://fedora.c3sl.ufpr.br/linux/updates/39/Everything/x86_64/Packages/k/kernel-6.5.9-300.fc39.x86_64.rpm

the upgrade action doesn’t get it

That’s only used for layered packages. The kernel is in the base image which comes from rpm-ostree composes.

I think you’re on to something with the missing updates refs for F39.

https://pagure.io/releng/issue/11772

Those refs are showing up now, but there’s still no update. Maybe we’ll have to wait for tomorrow’s compose.
