What's New in Fedora KDE 40

Article Summary: Writing about what’s new in Fedora KDE 40 in the same vein as the What’s New in Fedora Workstation

Article Description: Article will be mostly focused on Plasma 6 because that’s a huge change for the spin. After that we’ll talk about anything that is specific to Fedora KDE rather than KDE Plasma in general, and then some Fedora-wide changes to the desktop experience.

@joseph There is an existing article for “What’s new…” here:
https://fedoramagazine.org/?p=39923&preview=true&preview_id=39923
It was begun by an intern and might speed things up.
Unless you want to rewrite completely.
I can open a new Pagure ticket for this if you wish but at least part of the work has already been done on this ticket:
https://pagure.io/fedora-magazine-newsroom/issue/265

These will be two different articles. Workstation would get it’s own article and Fedora KDE would get its own. In that case I wouldn’t be touching the Workstation article.

Also, from what I understand, the Workstation WG needs that article to be specifically for them.

Pagure ticket #284 is open for the KDE What’s New.

Who should it be assigned to?

Also, suggestions for featured image would be very helpful.

You can assign it to me, I’m working on a draft now.

@steiner how did you make the header for the test day for plasma 6? Maybe I can try making that? lol it was very good

Just a bit of Krita magic lol (which could also be easily done in GIMP)

Got the KDE 6 wallpaper, cropped just the taskbar from a KDE 6 screenshot, just the headerbar from a Konsole screenshot and added the details to make everything fit seamlessly, which would be the most time-consuming part of the whole thing.
