What is status of fractional scale

as title says just wondering since it is not enabled by default yet and i am using 4K resolution laptop where 100% is too small and 200% is way too much so is fractional scale usable and is it ready for gnome experimental features?

yes should be alright

thanks enabled it and had to only pump it to 125% to get best results for my screen sometimes i used 100% and larger text, but that get annoying when connecting to secondary screen and need to enable that each time so i think this is the good way to go for now

Have you tried the VRR settings yet?

Performance Improvements

  • Experimental support for Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) for smoother video performance. You can enable this feature with the command:
    gsettings set org.gnome.mutter experimental-features “[‘variable-refresh-rate’]”
Once enabled, the refresh rate can be set in the display settings.

not yet i dont play on laptop and even when i actually run games i run games from cloud streaming just to safe laptop not burning etc from gaming so not actually need VRR yet
