Weird behaviour of select to copy and paste function in Fedora 44

Hello.
I’m facing a weird behaviour of the select to copy and paste function in gnome desktop. It started appearing (randomly) in F43 but now is always reproducible in F44.
I used the supported procedure (gnome software app or dnf) to upgrade from previous Fedora releases to the current one.
So far now select to copy and middle click paste works:

inside the same libreoffice document
from gnome-terminal to libreoffice and firefox
from gnome-text-editor to libreoffice
from google-chrome to libreoffice
inside firefox

Does not:

inside and to a libreoffice dialog (e.g. search & replace fields)
to and inside gnome-text-editor
to and inside gnome-terminal
between and to google-chrome windows or tabs

Do you experience this behaviour too? How to further troubleshoot this issue and what logs to take?

Thanks all!

Mario

Try this in the terminal and tell us if your experience is better:

gsettings set org.gnome.desktop.interface gtk-enable-primary-paste true

In Gnome 50 the primary paste got switched of. Apparently some users had problems with the middle click paste.

You saved me a lot of headaches!
Using it every day from above 20 years… I love it and I instinctively try to use it even in WIndows :exploding_head:
Thank you
