We want input on what to do with Fedora Hummingbird Linux community meeting videos

Hey all,

 I've been fleshing out the agenda for our second Hummingbird community meeting (this morning at 8AM ET https://meet.jit.si/FedoraHummingbird if you're interested), and we're trying to figure out where to publish the video from our last community meeting.

I searched and found these guidelines for video, but this generated more questions:

  1. What are these instructions for? It tells me “what” to do, but I’m not sure what this is for. Is it to submit videos like this to YouTube?
  2. Can the Hummingbird team publish their own videos to their own YouTube channel (we created a Fedora Hummingbird Linux account, at minimum to squat our name, but we’d like to use it)
  3. Is there a different, more appropriate place to share community meeting videos?

Great to see you are having meetings on Jitsi, I wish more teams would use such services.

Do you need the videos in 5 year? 10 years? Would a meeting log suffice? Will people watch these videos?
I’m going to suggest that no, not many people will watch them. In these foundational days of Hummingbird, maybe you do want them recorded for a digital anthropologist of the future, or maybe you want to be lean and move fast with less records? Up to you of course.

If you are going to upload them, I would save a copy to your own local drives, and then upload them to YouTube. I am sure it is okay to create your own Hummingbird account for that. If you put in ‘Fedora’ somewhere as a label, the algos will recommend them to other Fedora watchers. Though I personally would not like to watch hours of SIG meetings!
