Terminal installation does nothing to make tings worse.

After you install Waydroid (dnf install waydroid) from Fedora, you can view this page for details how to install any APK you want to use.
You’ll need to get the APK files from the source you’re using, Fedora doesn’t provide any to users. But for example, if you get the APK from the Epic Games Store https://store.epicgames.com/en-US/mobile/android and then you use the instructions to install it, it should be available as a regular application.
This happens:
$ waydroid app install Word.apk
[cv.chain@device Downloads]$
Hm. That’s odd?
In these docs - there is a switch in the command line for Verbose -v that might give more output.
Give that a try and see if that produces more logs.
