Warning: update breaks gaming on Lutris/WINE

Effectively games still run normally, keyboard interactions still work, but mouse movements and clicks are not forwarded to the game - I guess some issue related to Mutter/Gnome session and is hopefully temporary.

I wish DNF would offer a “rollback to previous distrosync” option or similar.

here you see the stylized game cursor, but only the system cursor is moving and it behaves like it was the desktop not the game e.g. right click will show the Gnome context menu in Game running fullscreen.

You can check the dnf history list, and see with dnf history info Nr. On atomic you can go a version back, however the legacy rpm installation not lets you do that.

On what did you distrosync, rawhide F46 or on F45? We are close to beta release, might be better if you test against F45 if you not already do.

in winecfg → Graphics disable:
“Allow the window manager to decorate the windows” and “Allow the window manager to control the windows”
you will have to navigate with the keyboard (tab) because the mouse does not work.
after that theres no issues here

This solves indeed the issue at hand, anyway: it was working fine before w/o this settings…

Another solution I’ve found is to install the “Sway” desktop environment, where Lutris/WINE works perfectly (and subjectively even more smoothly) - so the issue is definetely with the Gnome-stack
