I have installed Fedora Linux 43 very recently (yesterday). I have come across a problem while adjusting the sound from the gnome settings application. When I change the slider level in the sound settings of the gnome settings window, the actual (output) sound is not changing. I mean, when I increase the slider in the sound settings (not from the top bar) it doesn’t change the volume(or sound) level, but adjusting the slider from the top bar volume control does adjust the sound in the real time. I have attached a video footage for that.
OS details:-
OS:- Fedora Linux 43 Gnome Workstation
Processor: Intel i5-3570
RAM: 16 GB
Gnome Version: 49
I have check the logs, there is no error or warning that shows up for wireplumber. I already tried restarting those services, that didn’t fix. Also tried removing .local/states folders for pipewire and wireplumber and re created everything that I found on the internet and fedora discussions and took some help from ChatGPT. Nothing worked. Is there anything I messed up ? Or just a bug?
Note: I have not installed any extensions for gnome shell. Everything is in their defaults. I just run those troubleshooting commands. That’s it.
Thank You in advance!
