Vmware Ignore Global Shortcut rule doesnt work

hello i set the Ignore Global Shortcut rule to Yes and Force.

when i put the vm into fullscreen or exclusive mode the issue is that when i do stuff like meta + tab on my other monitor it opens the start menu on my windows vm how can i fix this issue since i prefer to have the vm open in fullscreen - exclusive mode

In my case, the following steps solved the problem:

  1. go to guest vm’s setting (under “Virtual Machine”
  2. go to keyboard and mouse
  3. select Mac Profile

That’s all.

Note that this is not the setting under “VMware Fusin” , but it is the one under “Virtual Machine”. Note also that I am on macOS host.
