I was trying to figure out why mpv was falling back to software decoding on almost every video file. I tried looking this up but it seems like everyone else has the opposite problem, AV1 or VP9 not supported. What can I do to get hardware support for h264, x265, HEVC and others?
I’m on fedora plasma 43, fully updated. Forgive me if I’m missing any information, I’m somewhat new to linux.
