I am wondering if there is a bug around: within the magazine, you are still shown as moderators. So I wonder how it is possible that you cannot access an area you are moderator in. But as I said, I don’t know how this is implemented, so let’s see if Matthew or Kevin have an idea about it.

Ah! Yeah, Team Workflows > Kanban Test was meant to be a general playground for the kanban plugin feature, not magazine specific, so I had it at TL3. I added magazine-editors to, because, hey, why not. But if you want to actually have that set up for Team Workflows > Fedora Magazine I could do that too. (It can be added as a view for any category.)

Would it be possible for you to initiate the creation of the Kanban plugin for the Fedora Magazine Workflow? We will need to update our “public facing” documentation and work out some details but having it set up early would be a positive move.
Or let us know who we should contact or open an issue with.

It looks like the kanban test you created earlier is its own subcategory? So I guess the Fedora Magazine kanban could replace the current Fedora Magazine category.

We can make it the default, and can:
- change it to use different tags?
- change it to use sub-subcategories instead of tags?
- change it to “assigned” mode, which has columns for unassigned, assigned, closed and shows users assigned to topics

Yes, let’s make new proposals land on this Kanban board by default and make the board the default view for this Fedora Magazine workflow subcategory.
Will the “new issue” button still be prominent? I hope people won’t get confused by the different look and not be sure how to proceed.
Edit: I guess there needs to be a new, e.g., #fm-proposal tag and column for new articles to land in?
Maybe the tags should have a common prefix like, e.g., fm-?

P.S. I don’t personally see any value in keeping the old proposals. If deleting them is convenient, I am for that, but I’ll leave the final decision to you.
Two things I guess. First, it could free up tags to be used for something else if you want (topic categories or something?). Second, I think this could make it so anyone could submit proposals but then only editors could move to the other columns. If we want that. It’s a lot more heavyweight to setup though.
At least for now, let’s go with the “lightweight” option and use tags. I think users being able to move things between stages was normal before we moved to Pagure. As long as the editors are notified or can otherwise determine who moved the card (and, ideally, when it was moved), letting the users move things around isn’t a problem.
It’s the default now, and I put it into “assign” mode so you can see what that looks like.
It’s missing some sort of “proposed” or “ideas” column, but otherwise, it looks good to me.
Would it be difficult to relabel the “New Topic” button as something like “New Proposal”?

It didn’t automatically go into that mode when I opened the subcategory.
I have a theme component installed which is supposed to do this, but it seems to create a second button rather than replacing it, which is Kind Of Confusing.
I see. Yeah, if you cannot get rid of the duplicate button, I guess that won’t work very well.
