Using sddm themes rather than kde lock

Hi

ive wanted to use sddm themes instead of kde lockscreen themes but havent been able to find a way yet so i thought id ask here if there is a way

current sddm lockscreen the one i want to appear when unsuspended with the ui

Hi @lucascowman ,
Setting / Screen Locking / Configure Appearance.. / +Add

if you want this lock screen.
(it’s not clear for me: when unsuspended that’s a background (?))

sorry i think i didnt clafify enough on my end i mean so that the ui is included as if i just booted up rather than sleeping

AI says: When KDE Plasma resumes from sleep or standby, it shows the lock screen, not the SDDM login screen.
So, perhaps you need to check
journalctl -b 0 | grep -E 'resume|error'
or something similar.

yes thats the problem i want the sddm theme to replace the kde lock screen

AFAIK sddm is obsolete. There is Plasma Login Manager in Fedora instead.
Should you use sddm then

sudo dnf in sddm-themes

I seleted elarun out of 3.
/etc/sddm.conf is modified accordingly.
copied the backgound image to /usr/share/sddm/themes/elarun/images
and modified /usr/share/sddm/themes/elarun/theme.conf
Nevertheless, this is a symptomatic treatment.
