USB Joystick, Fedora 39

Hi all, looking for some help again. Im running fedora 39 for my lounge tv. have a rc transmitter with a USB plug for joystick support. it works great with FlightGear. installed the gtk calibration app, and all good there. but the joystick is not detected by other sims

Professional R/C Flight Simulation which is a java app

and doesnt seems to work with crrcsim, which is in the fedora repo, but strangely works with this on on my laptop, also on f39

any help much appreciated!

Tiny bit of progress made

created a rule file /etc/udev/rules.d/50-usbinput.rules with
SUBSYSTEM==“usb”, ATTR{idVendor}==“1008”, ATTR{idProduct}==“000b”, MODE=“0660”, GROUP=“input”

now CRRCSIM sees the joystick, still nothing on the java sim, any ideas much appreciated!
