Upgrading to Fedora 37 with GNOME Software shows a small empty dialog and doesn't continue

Problem

If you try to upgrade from Fedora 35 or Fedora 36 to Fedora 37 using outdated GNOME Software, after hitting the Restart & Upgrade button after the download completes, an empty dialog will be shown and the upgrade will not proceed.

Cause

This is caused by a wrongly-named property in a UI source file.

Bugzilla report: #2125569

Solution

This should be resolved by updating to gnome-software-42.4-2.fc36 on Fedora 36 or gnome-software-41.5-2.fc35 on Fedora 35. Fully update your system as usual, reboot, and the upgrade process to Fedora 37 should now be functional.

After you update your system in your usual way (and possibly reboot), you should no longer be affected by this problem. If the problem persists, please start a new discussion topic and we’ll help figure out what’s still wrong.
