Upgrading from Fedora 41 to Fedora 43

Hi to everyone!

First of all I’m sorry if this is not the right place to ask for this information.
I’m a newby and this is the first time I’m asking something here.

I’d like to know if it is safe to upgrade from Fedora 41 to Fedora 43 skipping 42
I couldn’t do it before, and now Software app doesn’t allow to download Fedora 42 anymore.

So it is safe to do that? or it is better to upgrade to 42 first?

Thank you all for help!
Bye!

It is a supported upgrade path, so you can do it.

However, if you want to remain on f42 for a while, you enjoy a more stable experience, while some bugs in f43 are being fixed (which is totally normal for a new release).

Here is a link to the preferred upgrade method: Upgrading Fedora Linux Using DNF System Plugin :: Fedora Docs

(if you decide to go to f42 first, adjust the command accordingly)

I upgraded from Fedora 41 to 43 without experiencing any issues, but everyone’s environment is different. Let us know if you encounter any problems before or after the upgrade, and we will help you resolve them.

Thank you so much for your reply.

I’ll go probably for the f42 update using dnf after all. I feel safer that way
