Have several headless F42 boxes. These had issues upgrading from F41 to F42 so they were fresh 42 installs and not upgrades. Upgrading 42 - 43 caused tigervnc server to not work any more. The files & config are still there, but the service crashes out immediately after starting. AI had me try wayvnc on a headless box which didn’t work too well, nor did tigervnc-server-minimal. I have not found any instructions for tigervnc server on F43. Fortunately I tested on non-important boxes first and can be rebuilt until a solution works.
Any ideas?
GNOME no longer supports Xorg session, but TigerVNC still depends on it.
You can try using other session types, see:
dnf provides /usr/share/xsessions/\*
Or switch to RDP, e.g. provided by GNOME Remote Desktop.
Ouch. AI said something was removed. I think I tried rdp on previous versions. Can’t remember why I didn’t stick with it, but I will test it again.
Thanks for the info
