Can you get to a new TTY command prompt with
control + alt + f2
?
Yes, I can go to command line. I comment out /etc/gdm/custom.conf wayLandEnable=false and now I see login page come in but still gave me authentication error
Try and start your desktop manually from the command line.
If you had told us what desktop you are on we could have given you the command.
We can’t fix problems without all the relevant info. With Linux, it is up to you do do a lot of the work.
I have Fedora 43 and sudo reboot from command line. let me do that and see. I did reboot it.
