Unstar file in nautilus

In Fedora 44, I noticed that I accidentally starred a file. When I right-clicked it in the ‘Starred’ section, I couldn’t find the ‘Unstar’ option, but after I rebooted, the ‘Unstar’ option suddenly appeared?

The system: Fedora Linux 44 (Workstation Edition)

Post in your own language and we’ll translate it - what you have written here makes little sense, other than you perhaps started something and want to do something else.

This about unstarring a starred ( :star:) file in nautilus

Oh - star. After he used “start” three times in the first 10 words, I assumed he’s added something to autostart and can’t find a way to remove it.

I think you are trying to find a way to unstar a starred file?
It might depend on which view you are using. (List view, grid view, compact view)
Or you can just look at the left sidebar and see the starred section, right click there and remove it.

After restart the system and try right click the file again. I find the “unstar” menu

I use AI to translate and rephase the text.

Did it fix the issue? Can you type it out in your language we will use a translator.

目前是解决问题了,但是我不知道为什么我重启后才能unstar

I fixed the problem now but I do not know if there is bugs as only when I restart the system it works

The issue is resolved now, but I don’t know why I had to restart the system before I could unstar it.

So you mean that the unstar option was not there before restart but the option came after the restart?

Yes. the unstar option was not there before restart.

Well so it was just a temporary issue maybe related to UI State.
Next time you dont need to restart your whole system, rather a simple

pkill -x nautilus

will kill all nautlius process and you can start it the normal way later.

Thank you very much
