Unpinning any app on the dock causes the last pinned app to move to the open apps section next to the separator line

When unpinning any app from the dock, the last remaining pinned app unexpectedly shifts to the open apps section (to the right of the separator line), instead of staying in place.

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Pin multiple applications to the dock.
  2. Open one or more of them.
  3. Unpin any of the pinned apps.

(Happens with extensions disabled too btw)

I cannot reproduce this issue, but then, this is on Fedora 42.
