I’m unable to start the SANE daemon on my Fedora 31 system. It seems to be related to this bug but even after making the changes from comment 8 on that bug I’m unable to get it to start.
When I run sudo systemctl restart saned
followed by sudo systemctl status saned
, I get:

I’m using an HP Officejet Pro 8620 that was set up with HPLIP as a network printer. I’m able to scan from XSane and Skanlite but not from PDF Studio, which relies on the SANE daemon.
