Tuxedo Infinitybook keyboard causes display to turn off

Hi Fedora,

I’m finding on my new machine from these, that sometimes when typing, the screen turns off and I end up back at the lock screen. Also sometimes I end up with a load of extra characters typed, or the keyboard won’t work, that sort of thing.

I can’t really see a pattern to it, its only the odd time. Anyway, I contacted their support, seemed likely hardware to me. but they said they only support KDE and their own Tuxedo OS.

Does anyone think this could be a Gnome/Fedora thing? It doens’t seem likely to me.

I tried to reproduce it on their Live USB OS, but of course, its hard to reproduce, as it only does it some times.

Anyone else had anything like this?

Sorry for the late reply but…

I had something similar on my Chromebook, running GNOME but on AlmaLinux.

When typing a lot it would sometimes lock up, also no idea why.

I would exclude hardware issues, this may be some race condition or something

Never had it on KDE Plasma in years of using it

Was bloody magnet bracelet for me. Didn’t even know it had a magnet! Support knew straight away as well amazingly!

Sometimes it can be the simplest things.

I’ve had something similar to that happen on a different laptop a while back.
