I am experiencing a recurring issue with my internal pointing devices on my Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 running Fedora Kinoite (KDE Plasma).
The Problem
My Trackpad buttons (the physical buttons above the trackpad) and the TrackPoint randomly and consistently become unresponsive after I unplug an external USB mouse and/or keyboard.
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Plug in an external USB mouse and/or keyboard.
2. Use the external peripherals.
3. Unplug the external peripherals.
4. The Trackpad buttons and TrackPoint remain disabled.
- Note: The main Trackpad surface sometimes continues to work, but the dedicated Trackpad buttons and the TrackPoint are consistently the devices that fail to re-enable.
