I have a folder with .nomedia and .trackerignore files, but tracker still indexes everything in it. I also added the name of the folder to the dconf in /org/freedesktop/tracker/miner/files/ignored-directories.
In the past, I used to only have the .trackerignore files inside the directory and that was enough.
Is that a bug in tracker or did the process of ignoring folders change?
That sounds like a bug.
You may want to check the journal to see if you’re getting any issues with tracker or possibly with avc denials. journalctl -b -g '^avc|tracker'
