TorBrowser and passwords

On Fedora 44 where I installed TorBrowser using Gnome Software, I’ve got the following problem.

  • TorBrowser won’t save passwords. Even though I checked the box ‘Ask to save passwords’ in the settings
  • It won’t let me set a primary password

I know that this has worked on a previous system I’ve used, but don’t know why it would fail now.

Found this suggestion in an old Reddit thread; can’t confirm if it works, though: go into about:config and set security.nocertdb to false.
