This project adds a proper way to show/hide desktop icons in nemo-desktop while keeping the desktop itself alive and usable.
This is considered telling Fedora users about a new feature in software that is not Fedora. This probably should not be allowed. This is also called spam.

It might be on Fedora through a community COPR/official update, but this is considered ads for features in Software that is not Fedora.
It is fine as long as they dont post about it half a dozen times.

Personally I have not used Nemo and don’t know about it, but new desktops and features are theoretically interesting.

Nemo is the file manager for the Cinnamon Desktop (and there is a Fedora Cinnamon spin). It is available in the fedora repo.

Turn Nemo’s Icon View into a Gallery View

Also, for users who are confused about Cinnamon and the Nemo file manager:
As mentioned by @burgess-m, it’s not only officially available from the Fedora repositories, there is also a dedicated Fedora Cinnamon edition. All of my work is based specifically on Fedora versions and repositories, so… it’s all Fedora indeed.
That got me thinking: maybe it would be nice to have separate channels for the different Spins? It might help people become more familiar with the wider range of Fedora offerings!?

In ‘Ask Fedora’ one can tag with spin names, eg Cinnamon. One can also subscribe to tags. So I dont think we need to have seperate categories.

Hey! Out of curiosity, how come you’ve never given Nemo a shot?
What’s your go-to FM?
I feel like I’ve cycled through all of them over the years: Thunar, Dolphin, Nautilus, Caja, PCManFM, and Nemo. (I use whatever there is, or even go without…)
As a preference, for me, Nemo (obviously) is the closest thing to a complete FM. It just looks and works exactly the way I need and expect… with my UI/UX patches, even more so! 
Another Nemo QoL/UX tweak:
Read-write archive mounting for the Nemo file manager, built on top of archivemount.
Right-click an archive (.zip, .tar, .7z, .rar, .iso, .cpio, …) in Nemo, choose “Mount archive RW+”, and browse/edit its contents like a regular directory.
When you unmount, archivemount writes the changes back into the archive.

Reworked all patches for Nemo version 6.6.3 using AI…
Since I currently have no Fedora44 available -consider these untested!
Patch update is based on source from:
nemo-6.6.3-3.fc44.src.rpm
XSI found it - fixed it…
While testing these patches and Fedore 44 Cinnamon, a new problem emerged:
Since Nemo/Cinnamon 6.6.x, the Mint team decided to “fix” their iconset on some elements, so they introduced the xsi- prefix (xapp-symbolic-icons iconset) locking the sidebar, toolbar and panel icons to their own style regardless of which icon theme you pick.
If you use or prefer your own iconset (Yaru, Papirus, whatever), this little script symlinks those hardcoded xsi-* names back to it, so those icons finally match the rest of your theme instead of being stuck with Mint’s own look.
