Tlp doesnt autostart even with service enabled

I checked the service status and tlp.service is enabled

systemctl status tlp
○ tlp.service - TLP system startup/shutdown
     Loaded: loaded (/usr/lib/systemd/system/tlp.service; enabled; preset: disabled)
    Drop-In: /usr/lib/systemd/system/service.d
             └─10-timeout-abort.conf, 50-keep-warm.conf
     Active: inactive (dead)

Check that tlp.service is symlinked into /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/.

If that is correct then look at the system journal logs to see if there is any that refer to tlp for clues.
