Thunar doesn't show contents of network folder

I can access a share on my Windows 11 PC in CLI with smbclient //192.168.0.8/Photos/ -U=Linuxuser, once I’ve entered the correct password.
I added the following line to etc/fstab:-
//192.168.0.8/Photos /mnt/NiPhotos cifs credentials=/home/me/.smbcredentials,vers=3.0,uid=1000,gid=1000,iocharset=utf8 where the appropriate User Name and Password are held in .smbclient.

I then rebooted and opened Thunar, which showed the NiPhotos folder, but not its contents. F5 refreshed the display and my shared folders and files were present and correct.

Today Thunar shows NiPhotos, but F5 doesn’t refresh and populate the folders.
Please can you tell me what I am missing and what information I need to provide to solve this issue?
I’m running Fedora 44 XFCE on an old PC, which has 8gb Ram, 1TB SSD system dirve and 3TB hard disk for data.

OK, I give up.
I’ve read many posts about mounting smb shares and still cannot read my Windows PC’s disk.
I’m going to install a different flavour of Linux Fedora 44 XCFE is just too frustrating.
