The kde folder in Fedora is showing an error

I’m using the KDE desktop environment with Fedora 43. When I delete 800GB of files stored on my system partition, the KDE file manager shows the partition as its original size. However, when I measure the size using third-party software, it shows the partition as the size after the deletion. How can I resolve this?

Is it possible you moved the files to the trash rather than deleting them fully? (The Trash folder should appear in the “Places” list in the left column of your Dolphin window, so you can have a look at the contents.)

If you run df -h in a terminal, how much space does it say is used and available on your partition?

When I clicked “Move to Recycle Bin,” it displayed a message saying it couldn’t be moved and asked if I wanted to delete it immediately. I clicked “OK.”

OK. What does df -h say about the partition?

The issue has been resolved; the problem stemmed from Btrfs’ snapshot functionality.
