The GNOME top bar vanishes if I decide to enable GNOME extensions

Hello all,

I uploaded a screenshot of what exactly the ‘toolbar’ looks like at the top of the screen when it is behaving as expected. If I enable extensions, primarily because I need a clipboard manager, the toolbar will disappear. It will only appear if I look at the overview of all windows or all apps. This has only started to happen recently, I noticed coincidentally when my machine had installed an app called ‘refine’ without my knowledge. Even with it uninstalled, the toolbar will not appear or behave as expected with extensions enabled. After disabling extensions and then restarting the OS does the toolbar reappear.

The only extension enabled is tudmotu extension since GNOME does not have a built in clipboard manager (which I find very odd, and the most random oversight from GNOME since every OS and DE has one). I should also mention that with extensions enabled, whenever I try to use the clipboard manager, the machine becomes very slow until I stop using it. I am on Fedora 44 workstation GNOME edition if that was not made obvious by now.

Can anyone help me fix this?

sounds like the extension is breaking Gnome, you should report this to the authors of the extension.

Thank you. I will now lookup a way to try to go back to the release prior to this broken update (without losing all of the clipboard’s data). I hope this works.
