Thank you all πŸ₯°, I also need a hardware recommendation (similar to HomePod, but not as closed)

Hi

Thanks to the community

Thanks for the support in this forum, I was able to take my first steps with Fedora Silverblue and was able to set up a lot of things the way I want.

only 1 important topic open How-To use Git LFS on Fedora Silverblue in default Terminal? There seems no package available :(

Very nice minimalism (Thanks to the devs)

Big compliments to Fedora Silverblue for minimalism (no unnecessary packages pre-installed). I was very happy about that, because almost all other Distros install a lot of packages that I don’t need. I have no idea why I should use a monster software like LibreOffice, I just need vim and some Markdwon syntax. I really like the approach of Fedora Silverblue with the slim system, although I like the company IBM less.

Speakers terrible audio quality. Looking for a HomePod alternative.

I use Fedora Silverblue on an HP EliteDesk 800 G4. The EliteDesk 800 G4 was sold to me cheaply because it is not compatible with Windows11. I’d rather install Linux than produce a huge amount of Windows10 computer garbage.

Unfortunately, the audio quality on the EliteDesk 800 G4 is terrible. It could hardly be worse.

I’m now looking for something similar to the HomePod (I only need the speaker, I always turn off Siri and all the other surveillance crap).

Which speaker can you recommend? The usual PC speakers have lots of cables and look very ugly. I have almost no space on my desk. Would be very happy to get some good advice. A speaker (not a pair) with power + audio cable would be great. It must also be possible to switch off all the smart features.

I don’t want a surveillance bug in my office.

Soon I will be a former macOS user. Will sell that closed Apple stuff on eBuy or other platforms.

Thank you and happy day
