I noticed today that Teams doesn’t see my laptop camera any more (it worked fine last time I checked). A quick search suggests this might be because I upgraded to Fedora 42 recently (it seems to me that I upgraded before the last time when I used Teams, but maybe my memory is faulty).
I followed some of the advice from here: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/built-in-camera-not-working-after-fedora-workstation-41-upgrade/134827 and here: Fedora Webcam Troubleshooting Guide.
guvcview opens the camera without problems, and I switched to hardware defaults and rebooted. It seemed to have worked for Chrome, but Firefox Teams still cannot see the camera.
Opening ‘Camera’ tells me it misses camera permissions, but in ‘Settings’, camera access is on.
Any thoughts? I need to use Teams early on Monday, preferaby on Firefox if I can manage.
Thank you for your advice.
