What Tamil font do you have installed on your system?
Chrome is not developed nor packaged by the Fedora community. Does the error persist on Firefox?

It is the same as in chrome … the add-ons solve the following problems:
This extension allows the user to see the unicode fonts in Tamil even if their system does not support it.
-Tamil script fallback fonts for Firefox (Android edition)
Addon installs Tamil font (Lohit-Tamil.ttf under SIL OFL 1.1 license) that enables proper rendering of
Tamil script on all sites (Facebook, Twitter, Google, etc.),
regardless of whether a font has been embedded into the web page or installed on the system.
Based off Gujarati Add-on.
There are other font packs for other languages, If Tamil has to be added probably all of them should be added.
