T14 G1 Intel: Fedora 42: Touchpad fussiness

Intel T14 G1. All firmware updates applied
Fedora Linux 42
Linux 6.16.10-200.fc42.x86_64
Firefox 143.0.4

  1. Touchpad tap-to-click is flaky. It’ll work (register a tap as a click) then not work for 4-5 seconds and then work again.
  2. On Firefox the two finger scroll will often be interpreted as pinch-to-zoom and will zoom in. Had to disable pinch-to-zoom

The touchpad is otherwise consistently responsive to cursor movement, actual clicks and gestures.

I’m an emigrant from Ubuntu, and I’m liking Fedora so far, but this fussiness with the touchpad is quite annoying. Would be greatful for pointers. Thanks!

This does seem to be a wake from sleep issue. One alternate-ish wakes this problem will disappear. The two issues seem related - they’ll both either happen or not.

I have the same issue on T14 gen1 intel. I also mentioned that touchpad works better on KDE. So it is possibly a gnome issue
