Systemsettings unresponsive after connecting an external display

after I connect an external display System settings becomes unresponsive. Is this a known bug wiht Plasma 6.7?

Operating System: Fedora Linux 44
KDE Plasma Version: 6.7.4
KDE Frameworks Version: 6.29.0
Qt Version: 6.11.1
Kernel Version: 7.1.10-200.fc44.x86_64 (64-bit)
Graphics Platform: Wayland
Processors: 22 × Intel® Core™ Ultra 7 155H
Memory: 64 GiB of RAM (62.3 GiB usable)
Graphics Processor 1: Mesa Intel® Arc
Graphics Processor 2: zink Vulkan 1.4

You should know by now that when odd things happen the first place you should look is the user and system journals.

Did you look? What did you find?

From what I have heard, one of the core improvements in Plasma 6.7 is providing a better experience for multiple displays.

Ok. there are still a number of weird things.

  • The logon dialog appears on all three screens but only one of those is “active” the others seem not follow the keys klicked.
  • Sometimes when mutltiple screens are attached at once (I have two attached to a docking station) the screens overlap all of a sudden and I have to manully reposition them
  • Sometimes I can sometimes not I can overlap our presenting screen and a second screen.

It might be I expect too much by attaching two aux. screent to my laptop and have it work. Also frequent attaching/detaching—I have my laptop to a docking station thaf I someimes undock—seems to thwart Fedora44 /KDE-Plasma 6. and 6.7.

If they haven’t been reported yet, I recommend submitting a report—provided you can reproduce them.
