System won't go into S3 sleep on kernel-6.17.4 with AMD RX 6700 XT

I’m having the issue described here: Making sure you're not a bot!

I’m using kernel-6.17.4-100.fc41.x86_64 and I have an AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT graphics card.

Applying the nv_suspend patch from the above link fixes the problem. Not sure how this works, but is it possible to include this patch into Fedora kernel until the patch is accepted upstream?

FYI I’m testing patched kernels here: dwagelaar/kernel Copr

Of course, in order to use secure boot, I’ll have to wait for this to be included in an official Fedora kernel…

This seems to be merged? Hopefully the mesa 25.2.6 version has this, it doesn’t seem to be related to the kernel?

The linked freedesktop issue contains a kernel patch to the amdgpu driver. I have not seen that patch included in https://cdn.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/v6.x/ChangeLog-6.17.7 or earlier.

I’ve just bumped into this problem, however: Unable to build kernel since last kernel update (fedora 43)
