System keeps freezing when gaming with proprietary nvidia drivers

Hi! I am running fedora 43 on my computer with gtx 1660 and i5 9400f. When playing games (mainly dota 2) my system completely freezes after a couple minutes of game play. Only hard reset (holding down power button) fixes it.

Here I have logs from system journal which I think is related to the issue: Nov 04 14:06:22 fedora kernel: NVRM: nvCheckOkFailedNoLog: Check failed: Out of - Pastebin.com

Note: I am using proprietary nvidia drivers provided by rpm fusion.

Looking at that log it appears that the GPU memory is being totally consumed and thus is causing the fault.

How much video RAM is available for that GPU?

It is 6gb.

EDIT: Turning on nvidia persistence mode seems to fix this issue somehow.
