I assumed only the closed kernel modules had that bug? But I did not check the kernel-open source. @ulysses does adding KWIN_FORCE_SW_CURSOR=1 to /etc/environment and restart prevent the issue?

According to my observations, this has nothing to do with it. Perhaps the problem is probabilistic and does not occur every reboot.
