With nix-toolbox the Fedora community can:

• easily get access to 100k+ packages in the Nix Packages collection.

• easily setup Nix-based development environment used by various open-source projects.

• use Home Manager to manage your home environment as code, and partially also system environment

• use the container with Toolbx or Distrobox

I would like to introduce a more detailed step by step guide how to get most out of the project. I am using it myself, together with Bootable Containers to completely manage my laptops setup as code.

I had a talk about it on DevConf.CZ 2025 and the talk had a great attendance and interest.
