How do I diagnose sudden reboots (last time when I opened kwrite)

journalctl -b 1 will show you the journal of the last boot; somewhere near the end there will likely be some form or shape of kernel panic or other reason for the reboot.

journalctl -b 1 will show you the journal of the last boot;

It’s journalctl -b -1 not 1 that you need as 1 means the first boot not the last.
