Booted up the older computer today and after logging in it took a bit of time for the desktop to show up. After that I did my usual thing and started up Vivaldi. But when I looked in the bookmark folders that sit on the top panel in Vivaldi, all of the icons for bookmarked pages were not there. Instead there was just a generic icon. I had to go through and click on every single bookmark to restore the icons. Was this glycin? My son said that it might be. Everything is back to normal now but what a pain…
And the weird thing is that I never get these issues on my newer computer so I am not sure what that means either. Also before upgrading to 43 from 42 I never had issues like this either…
I tried the suggestion of deleting the cache in Vivaldi but that did absolutely nothing and I am constantly clearing the cookies and cache anyway on a daily basis. This is a first for sure.
No idea why this happened but I did file a bug report with Vivaldi. Anyway things are back to normal today after having to click on every single bookmark yesterday. Pretty stupid… Also it only happened on the one machine.
Also since I seem to be having more of certain issues on this older PC, I now let the system sit for a minute and watch for hard drive activity to subside before logging in. I don’t know what is going on frankly. Some of these issues are pretty bizarre.
