Randomly, my laptop will lose the ability to suspend. There’s no warning dialog about this, the option just silently disappears from the menu for shutting down (“Cancel / Suspend / Restart / Shut Down” becomes “Cancel / Restart / Shut Down”) and from the settings for what to do when the lid closes.
I don’t know what causes this and journalctl doesn’t have much of anything either:
$ journalctl --since today | grep hiber

Additionally, when it does successfully suspend and resume, sometimes the computer will be completely unresponsive. As far as I can tell, holding down the power key for a few seconds (but not too many, that makes it power off) makes it resume normally. I do not know what causes this
UPDATE: Holding the power key makes it shut down now (But only after I log on any TTY or unlock the screensaver?)
Thought about it some more and this second detail about unlocking might be correlation and not causation, I suspect the previous power key behaviour might also be that
