Steam Games needing Proton not immedietly closing when trying to open them

I have an NVidia GPU 1660, and when i installed the drivers and tried to boot up any game that needs proton (the current examples are Helldivers 2 and Warhammer 40k Boltgun) it immediately closes. I tried setting up the RPM, installed flathub Steam, and others I may have forgotten.

I do not understand why this is happening and much help is appreciated.

edit, so yes, the reason was because of how the flathub version of steam operates. please use the dnf version of steam instead, my problem fixed itself

not sure how to help specifically with your issue as i do not run an nvidia gpu but in my experience the flathub version of steam does not work well and your much better off using the rpm version of steam.

Are the games installed on a secondary drive? If so I might have your solution.

If it is on secondary drive, what settings did you use to automount the drive? If you have only one drive you can ignore me.
