Spam of network sound devices

Hello, I’m on Fedora 44. Since maybe today, I see that all Apple MacOSX devices on the local network appear as “sound device” and are presented in the KDE mixer as possible output:

This is quite annoying, as there are dozens of the at work! And possibly a security problem on Apple side.

Do you know why the sound system (pipewire?) has suddenly decided to pull them in, and how to disable it?

Actually, no, because this was enabled by default some time ago - not sure why it would appear on your system only now.

But anyway:

sudo dnf remove pipewire-config-raop is the easiest way.

If you prefer not to uninstall packages, then some alternative ways are suggested here.

Thank you, I disabled it in pipewire config as in the linked post.

Maybe a toggle in the KDE panel would be useful.

Also, these network devices do not appear all the time, maybe I just did not notice them before.

Gnome has a setting in the settings panel for sharing, which is what brings up such a list for me. Media sharing or File sharing bring up similar lists.
