Running Fedora 40 Silverblue on a 2012 (Intel-based) Mac mini 6,1. Everything seems to work except sound. When sound settings output to the mini’s onboard speakers, only one channel works. When sound settings output to audio jack or HDMI, there’s no sound at all. I believe the sound card is a (Cirrus Logic) CS4206. Suggestions?
Have you tried changing the device profile at all?
If not, try downloading the Volume Control app from Fedora’s app store and adjust the profiles. I had a bunch of issues with Audio on a fresh build / kernel and the only thing that helped was this app. I have to auto launch the app and keep it running in order for audio to not cut out when invoking the super key. Audio has been the most frustrating issue with my switch to Linux.
I’ve found switching the profile to Pro Audio worked best for me.
Hey, thanks for the suggestion. I installed the app and tried every available config profile. Sadly, nothing worked.
