Sound from many session

I created another user account for KDE with symlinks to some of my home dir catalogs. Now I can have simultanosly runing KDE and Gnome session switched by Alt+Ctrl+F shortcut.
However I have running radio on Gnome and it stops playing when changing DE. Is there any way to have it still playing when been in KDE ?

Do you need a separate user for KDE or could you use a VM for KDE?

I would prefer local machine.

There are command-line players that can stream radio broadcasts. I only use Gnome but can listen to mplayer streams running on a text console while using the Gnome GUI. The Gnome volume control works with this setup.
